The adventure playground includes a range of play equipment located in a woodland setting, with a chipped wood safety surface beneath and surrounding all the apparatus. The manufacturers recommend that the equipment is suitable for children aged 3 upwards. All equipment is tested and kitemarked by BSI to BS EN 1176. The equipment includes: Balance beams, balance walk, chain walk, ‘The ledge’ climbing faces, intertwined logs, a burma bridge, a webnet, a twin balance beam, some swinging steps, a clatter bridge, a striding stilt log walk, a rocking log, shuffle bars, a mini suspension bridge and an aerial runway. A small hide is also situated in the woodland adjacent to the playground next to the Glenlivet Estate Office and Information Centre and a snail maze. Access paths to the playground and up to the edge of the safety surface are suitable for all abilities and wheelchair use, though some wheelchair users might find difficulty gaining access to the play equipment itself across the woodchip safety surface. Car parking is available at the Estate Office and Information Centre where toilets including a disabled facility are available. The Centre is open from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm most weekdays when ranger staff are present.
