Snow is pretty much guaranteed at some point over the winter at Glenlivet. The bright low winter sun and snow cover can provide some spectacular landscapes, perfect for the outdoor enthusiast to enjoy with a day out on the ski slopes or to be admired from a distance on a gentle low level walk.
- A bracing winter walk along one of our waymarked trails to a viewpoint – Glenmulliach, Victor Gaffney and Carn Daimh viewpoints all offer spectacular views of the white snow covered Cairngorm mountains.
- Hitting the ski slopes at the Lecht ski centre, from complete beginners to advanced skiers there is something for everyone and you’ll get a warm welcome.
- The winter wildlife, look out for stoats and mountain hares in their white winter coats, beautifully camouflaged with the snowy background.
- Snowdrops at Drumin Castle, the banks below the castle are amass with the early winter flower. Explore the restored ruins of Drumin Castle while you are there and imagine life back in the 14th century.
