Guided Walks & Ranger Services
The Glenlivet Estate Ranger staff are based at the Estate Office and Information Centre at the south end of Tomintoul. The Centre, houses displays about the countryside of Glenlivet and how it is managed, and is open (free) throughout the year from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm most weekdays. Ranger staff are normally available to respond to enquiries every weekday although the office is not continually manned and staff may be absent at any time.
If you need advice or would like to know more about the walks, trails, places of interest, wildlife, access and visitor facilities, please visit phone the Estate Office on 01479 870070. Visitors are always welcome.
When the Information Centre is closed or ranger staff are not available, a variety of external information panels and leaflets are on display outside the building. Leaflets and additional information can also be obtained from the nearby Tomintoul Tourist Information Centre (open daily Easter-end October).
A variety of guided walks are operated by the Glenlivet Estate Ranger Service during the summer months. All walks are led by an experienced ranger who will provide a variety of information about wildlife, geography, history and places of interest on the walks. The routes can vary in length and duration so please ensure you have checked the walk details so you are aware of what is involved.
All walks must be pre booked (Contact Glenlivet Estate Office Tel: 01479 870070) and may be subject to change or cancellation so please check with the Estate Ranger Service beforehand before traveling to Glenlivet.
