The Glenlivet Estate Ranger staff are based at the Estate Office and Information Centre at the south end of Tomintoul.
The Centre, houses displays about the countryside of Glenlivet and how it is managed, and is open (free) throughout the year from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm most weekdays. Ranger staff are normally available to respond to enquiries every weekday although the office is not continually manned and staff may be absent at any time.
The ranger service runs a number of guided walks and events throughout the year. Details of these is available here or in a leaflet which can be downloaded opposite or contact the Glenlivet Estate Office & Information Centre.
If you need advice or would like to know more about the walks, trails, places of interest, wildlife, access and visitor facilities, please visit the Estate Office, phone us on 01479 870070, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
When the Information Centre is closed or ranger staff are not available, a variety of external information panels and leaflets are on display outside the building. Leaflets and additional information can also be obtained from the nearby Tomintoul Tourist Information Centre (open daily Easter-end October).
The Glenlivet Ranger Service has been in operation now for 20 years and has made a significant contribution to the provision of local access facilities, educational services, conservation projects and the promotion of the Glenlivet and Tomintoul area.
The Glenlivet Ranger Service works in partnership with the Cairngorms National Park Authority to deliver the aims of the National Park and in particular to promote enjoyment and understanding of the Park.
